Miles per Week? What about Chapters per Week!

I mentioned in the last post shooting for a dozen miles per week at this part of the summer….But far more important is your chapters/week number: How many chapters per week of the Bible are you hitting? A dozen per week is not a bad number for that either. One chapter from the Old and one from the New and reading a Psalm to start your prayer time will get you there without breaking a sweat–unlike running in July!!

We run because it’s a blast. We read our Bibles because it’s bread to our hungry soul!

Blessed is the man who walks not in the counsel of the wicked, nor stands in the way of sinners, nor sits in the seat of scoffers; 2 but his delight is in the law of the LORD, and on his law he meditates day and night. 3 He is like a tree planted by streams of water that yields its fruit in its season, and its leaf does not wither. In all that he does, he prospers. (Psalm 1:1-3)

July Training Schedule

Here are our July training days:

Mondays and Thursdays at 5:15 @ Bond Park (meet in parking lot by boat house).

Saturdays 7:30am @ Sugg Farm (park and meet by front gate on Grigsby Ave).

Our first meets are Aug 9 and 16, so make sure you’re getting your miles up. A dozen per week is a good goal for right now. If you run with us, you’ll hit that (and then some). If you run on your own, try and hit that 12-miles/week number.
